Bluebonnets

Right after Easter, some ladies from our playgroup and I gathered up our kiddos for a sacred Texas tradition…a bluebonnet photo shoot.  We found the perfect field of bright blue flowers and booked our favorite local photographer, Tracy Green of Little Girl Green Photography.  We were all set!

And then it rained.

And rained and rained and rained.

By the time picture day rolled around, the rain had stopped, but the field was a mud pit, to put it mildly.  None of the kiddos were very excited about posing in the cold, squishy goo.  Neither were the parents, to tell you the truth.  But the show must go on!

Putting on a brave face.

But this is how we really felt.

Aww, Mom, don’t get all mushy on me.

Kisses! Yuck!

Thank goodness. Those females were cramping my style.

Pretty flowers.

Ok Mom, enough group shots!

A jolly soul.

Not a fan of the mud!

Check this out! And my Mama made my shirt, too!

Interesting…

Tracy always throws in a few “outtakes.” Sometimes those are my favorite photos.

“How do you do it with two?”
This is how it’s done, folks.

Ah, well. Maybe next year we’ll get a few more smiles.  No biggie!

Until next time,

Twodaloo!
